    How often are the consulting sessions?

    In order to gather momentum, the first four (sessions) are held weekly.  After that consulting sessions are fortnightly.

    How long are the consulting sessions?

    Each consulting session is 2hrs long.

    Where are the consulting sessions held?

    Consulting sessions alternate between our premises in Greenlane, Auckland and your premises (providing you are in Auckland). 

    The cost of travel to your premises for alternate consulting sessions is included in the programme price if you are within 20km of our office in Kalmia St, Greenlane.  It you are further than 20km away an additional charge for travel will be charged.

    What is done at a consulting session?

    Part of each consulting programme includes establishing a schedule of what issues/areas will be covered at future consulting sessions.

    We use the time at the consulting session to discuss, review and analyse information relating to the particular business issue/area.  We then decide and plan what specific actions are required to address the issue or improve performance.

    Consulting sessions are hands on - a lot of work can be achieved in two hours of focussed, uninterrupted time.

    Is there any work required before consulting sessions?

    Usually, yes.  Your programme includes a range of additional resources.  Before the consulting session we will email you which additional resource(s) will be beneficial for you to review before our consulting session.

    This is optional, but recommended as it allows you to make the most of our time together during the consulting session.

    Is there any work required after our consulting sessions?

    Usually, yes.  At each consulting session you make a number of decisions that require action and implementation.  As part of our system of management of the business improvement process we record what actions are required, by whom and by when in your detailed on line planner.

    Your detailed planner is available in your secure 'My Resources' login section of the website.

    At the beginning of each consulting session we review the detailed planner to update progress on the planned activities.

    What if I can't make a consulting session?

    Contact us as soon as possible.

    You can reschedule a consulting session as long as you provide 48 hours notice.  We will do our best to find an alternative time, or you can choose to add the session to the end of the programme.

    Changes within 48hrs or make ups for 'no shows' will be at the discretion of River Empowerment Ltd.

    Your detailed planner includes the date, time and location of all scheduled consulting sessions so it is very easy to see what you have committed to and/or provide advance notice of necessary changes.

    Can we have consulting sessions if my business is outside Auckland New Zealand?

    Yes we are able to consult outside Auckland, NZ.  In fact we can consult worldwide in most english speaking countries.

    In these instances consulting will occur by phone.  We also have the ability to share computer screens to demonstrate concepts and tools, as well as videoconference.

    What if I want to involve my staff in the programme?

    It is a good idea to involve your staff in some way in the programme as the programme will affect all areas of your whole business.

    You can include staff in the consulting sessions and/or share your additional resources with them as you feel appropriate.

    If you have middle management staff you may need to consider adding some additional sessions to the programme that can be dedicated to us working with them and their team in their particular department.
